Our school recently implemented TAP which is a professional development model for teachers. TAP is based on 4 elements of success: multiple career paths, ongoing applied professional development, instructionally focused accountability, and performance-based compensation. As part of the program, each teacher must be observed 4 times per year. This includes a pre-conference, observation, and post-conference. The TAP program utilizes an iPad app making the collection of the data and its analysis more streamlined. The funds will be used to purchase 2 iPads ($630 each + tax) and the TAP app ($50 each) which will be used in the observation of classroom teachers.
