I would like to purchase 5 iPads to enhance the learning for my students. Los Altos High School is located in Hacienda Heights, California, nestled in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California. It is the largest high school of the four in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District with 2105 students from various socioeconomic backgrounds. 90% of the underprivileged students receive free and reduced lunch. Students come from all walks of life and consistently achieve educational goals despite the lack of funding for essential programs.

Due to the dynamic nature of my Anatomy and Physiology class I try to employ as much technology to give my students the experience of “real world” application of what they are learning. Because of low socioeconomic situation students don’t have access to these materials, have very limited access to them, or have to interpret information from text books that are 10 years out of date.

With these ipads I can bring the learning experience to my students in a way that textbooks can not.
