I want to raise money so my classroom can become more technologically ready. I have a large majority of poor, hispanic children in my classroom that have no access to technology at home. I have 6 computers in my room and only 3 of them are up to date. I do have 3 laptops but they can only do basic tasks like take reading comprehension tests (AR tests). I want my students to succeed. I want them to know that their situation does not define who they are. I want them to be ready to face the world and compete with their better off peers. I just want to give them a fighting chance. As their teacher, I have to prepare them for the 21st century and the main way to do that is through technology. They will be able to experience the world through the use of technology in our classroom. I am so eager to teach through technology and am so limited because I just don't have the resources. Anything would be better than what we have now and I would be appreciative of any donation.
