Even though I work at a math science and technology school we are severally lacking in the technology department! With cut-backs in funding to schools, there is no room in our budget to provide a wonderful educational tool to our students. The CPS Student Response System works in conjunction with the MobiView Interactive Whiteboard (the school has provided one of these) to provide instant formative assessment feedback in order to help foster greater student achievement and progress. When I administer an assessment, my students will record their answers with a CPS student response pad which immediately delivers theirs answers to me. I can not only use the information instantly, but also create reports for classes and individual students that I can use in afterschool tutoring to help work on their weaker areas. The CPS responders also allow me to guide class discussions based on student knowledge fostering a more conducive learning environment for all my students. The CPS Student Response System also works in conjunction with ExamView Learning Series that has questions and teaching points for thousands of textbooks.
