iCan: iThink, iProduce, iExplore, iPad will provide students with an opportunity to participate in distant learning experiences as they pair up with students throughout the district. Thirsty for more knowledge, these students will then share their productions and with students all over the world.

Changing ideas from iThink to iCan will affect not only our classroom but also our entire campuses. Our goal is to connect with students outside of our classrooms as well as those across the district and state! Students will be motivated and engaged with their self selected problem-based learning that coincides with curriculum. Teachers on our campuses will be inspired, encouraged and collaborative as our students lead and share out their experiences. As district learning buddies, we will increase our participation in local, state and national technology competitions; promote students taking the initiative in collaborative learning; and lastly, to develop personal learning networks within our district to increase productivity and curriculum. We are preparing students for the 21st century, to be productive citizens within the Spring Branch community. So, to say that this project will only help two campuses would not be truthful, as excitement help creates a trickle down effect – creating a community of learners; therefore, multiplying the number of learners as a global endeavor.
