Introduction: Mrs. Crowley will introduce students the MS PowerPoint program. All students will get in groups of two and assist each other on developing a PowerPoint based upon the story Rikki Tikki Tavi.

Picture Development- Each student will either find, draw or take pictures of mongooses that reflect the temperment of Rikki tikki to save and upload to their PowerPoint.

All students will have already ready the story Rikki Tikki Tavi.

The teacher will prompt all students to use their school usernames and passwords to log on the classroom computers. The students will open of the PowerPoint program and save a new draft with their first and last names.

All students will develop a working document as a slide for their interpretation of the story RIkki Tikki Tavi.

All students will research information to use on their PowerPoint using Internet Explorer, Google, etc.

The students will incorporate the use of photos, music, clip art, etc into the development of their PowerPoints.

Students will participate in Think Pair Share- where they will swap with the person next to them whole will proofread and edit their PowerPoint. The TPS student will save the corrections made and the original student will return to his or her work station.

The students will edit and save their final drafts.

The final drafts will be sent to the library for printing.

The final drafts will be laminated and displayed in the classroom.

The saved draft on PowerPoint will be shown as a slide show for student presentation.

A rubric will be used as a measurement of assessment for the students final grade.
