Subject: Language Immersion, Social Studies, Technology, ELAR
Objective: Learn about other languages and cultures, use technology in classroom, write and illustrate a short story.
The student will: Attend Scarborough Renaissance Festival (student days). Prior to Field Experience, students will learn to speak several sentences in the Elizabethan Language. Students will dress up in period costumes and walk in the parade. Students will help edit video of their field experience. Students will watch the video of their day at the festival. Students will write and illustrate a story about their experience.
Comments
This is a fun way to teach students about life during the 15th Century. You can also challenge and extend in many ways. Their are many artisan booths for students to explore and learn.
