1. Teach the complete lesson cycle on any concept.
2. Using a word processor, students create a word list that shows as many vocabulary words, facts, and concept understandings they have about the lesson you just covered. For example, create a word list stating the causes of the civil war, attributes of polygons, characteristics of the tundra biome, etc.
3. Go to http://www.wordle.com to create a wordle (a word picture) that shows the student's learning. Cut and paste the word list into the wordle program and create.
4. Print it out for assessment or save it to a flash drive.
5. Display or add to student portfolio.
