*Each Student will be given a camera for our two week break. *Students and Parents are shown how to use the camera and upload and video or pictures take onto their home PC's. *Students and parents will transfer video/pictures onto provided zip drives *Students are given instructions of what they need to record: family, friends, environment, hobbies, interest, sports involved in, and anything else that they can use to build their own "Who I am" book. *Upon returning to school students will upload and print all of their pictures/videos from their zip drives * Students will then work on their book and beginning talking and sharing their photos with their classmates. *Students will also discuss their community and how they fit in. We will also discuss what they could do to be more involved in their household, community and world. *Students will share their finished book with their classmates. *All books will be on display for 1 month and then student will present their finished book to their families during their Student-Led conferences. |

Students with special needs often do not know where they fit into their families, community or the world as a whole. We are going to teach them how they fit and how they can fit more. |
Follow-Up |
Students will be video taped presenting the books to their families at their conferences. Students will then have the opportunity to discuss their community and world throughout the rest of the year. |
