Objective: To have students successfully create on-board video during a model rocket lfight.

Materials: Construction materials for model rocket, launch equiptment, power supply, small digital video camera, rocket motor.

With the guided assistance of the teacher, students will construct model rockets capable of lifting a small payload of a digital camera aloft and record video of the flight. The camera can also be used to document the construction process. "Dummy" payloads of the same weight and size of the camera may be test flown to determine the most stable and likely successful configuration.

After the video flight, the images can be shared with the entire class.
