As a class, we are going to create a TV news program about the Iditarod. This will lead into the annual Iditarod Dog Sled Race. For this project, there will be 7 groups. Each group will be assigned a section of the news program. The program is divided into the following sections: History of the Iditarod Geography of the Iditarod/Alaska Math and Science Art and Culture of the Inuit People who live there Information about the Iditarod Weather during the Iditarod Places to Visit while in Alaska.
You and your group will research the information you need to complete this project.
Each group will be given a folder that has everything for their section. On the Monday after the Iditarod finishes, we will be recording our TV program so that it can play during student-led conferences. Please decide how many people in your group will be on camera. Then make sure you write your script so that on camera says something for the segment. After we record our TV program, your group will have to turn in your folder, complete with your research and a copy of your script. |
